Cahira lives up to her name: a warrior.
Cahira has experienced things that no one ever should, seen things at an age no child should, had things done to her that no one ever should have done to them. Years of her life were spent hiding, sleeping closer to her siblings, protecting her mother. She was told from a young age that she was merely an object, something so worthless that no one would ever care for her or see any importance in. This was told to her over and over, until she started to believe it, destroying her self-confidence, as well as her self-love and worth. To this day, she remains adamant that she is worth less than those around her, and that her wants and needs do not matter. She can't bear to look at herself in the mirror, and sees nothing good about herself and her personality. These wounds will never heal, and she will always be a prisoner of her memories and her self-hatred. It has taken a lot for her to be able to speak about her tumultuous past, but those who hear her story are filled with a sense of courage and unwavering respect. She is seen as an inspiration, someone who has been broken to pieces, but still breathes and smiles despite the demons that loom over her. She still sings as loud as she can, and still cracks the best of jokes. But most of all, she still finds light in the smallest of things, happiness in the most simple of objects. She still loves, despite all of the hate she has been shown. She will never be the same person after her past, but that is okay. She has a wisdom beyond her years, and a voice that she hopes will bring solace and support to those who need it most. |
