Veloria is a gentle, soft-spoken individual who always seems to have her head stuck in the clouds. She is always off in her own world, daydreaming and staring off at nothing in particular. When spoken to, it takes multiple pokes and prods to break her out of her signature dazes, but once you get her attention, you have it until it's not needed any longer; and she goes back to daydreaming and staring off into the great unknown. It is a herd joke that every morning everyone guesses what Veloria is daydreaming about- a romantic encounter? A battle between good and evil? Candy falling from the sky? What it is that Veloria daydreams about, the world may never know.
Veloria had come from Canada, and lived a city away from where Ruelle had been born and raised. Recent medical histories found in her files date back to around the time a huge bus crash had occurred in the heart of the city, and the lives of almost everyone on board were lost. Herd members had theorized that possibly the force of the crash caused a change in Veloria's brain function, however on Harley's inspection there seemed to be no evidence of head trauma. Though, there were records of Veloria once being in the hospital, not as a patient but as a visitor; so now it is possible that she is stuck reliving the loss of someone dear to her. She always seems blissful in her own little world, so those who know this information believe she may just be thinking of the wonderful memories that her and who she had possibly lost, which though bittersweet, is much more bearable than the thought of her reliving the horrors of her past. Veloria, though almost completely dissociated from the real world, is regarded highly in the herd. When Veloria comes back down from the clouds to speak her mind, everyone listens intently. Veloria is a wonderful advice-giver, and if you are close to her, she will jump off whatever cloud she's on to listen to you and make you feel heard. Her soft voice can be hard to hear at times, but if you listen closely to what she has to say, you won't be sorry. |
